Gun Violence Archive

GunPolicy.org is a Sydney based organization that gathers gun violence-related data from around the world and allows quick country-to-country comparisons.

Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Violence Solutions

The Rockefeller Institute of Government at the State University of New York has a Regional Gun Violence Research Consortium, which has set up a Gun Violence Data Dashboard.

University of California, Davis, Violence Prevention Research Program

The American Journal of Public Health made the entire gun violence repository in the American Journal of Public Health open access.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention provides free public access to injury-related data (provided by the National Vital Statistics System (NVSS) operated by the National Center for Health Statistics). The New York Times has produced an interactive map showing the burden of gun homicides by neighborhood in the US.

Liza Gold, MD, is a forensic psychiatrist based in Arlington, Virginia. Gun Violence and Mental Illness is the most comprehensive book to date on the relationship (and lack of relationship) between gun violence and mental illness.
